Police were looking to speak to the driver of a vehicle of interest after a 54-year-old man was killed when a tire from a passing truck slammed into his vehicle Sunday near Ponoka on the QEII Highway, RCMP say.

A photograph of the vehicle of interest captured on camera after the 6:50 p.m. fatality at the Highway 53 overpass appears to show either a dual-wheel one- or 3/4-tonne truck, or a gooseneck flatdeck trailer, RCMP said in a Wednesday news release.
