A vehicle that crashed into a piece of construction equipment and burst into flames in Wisconsin on Friday was registered to a woman who was found dead about 100 miles away inside a Rockford, Illinois home several hours later.Destiny Tolodxi, 24, was found around 4 p.m. when her sister returned home, Deputy Chief Mike Schultz of the Illinois Winnebago County Sheriff's Office said. The death is being investigated as a homicide.Hours earlier, Tolodxi's 2006 Pontiac G6 GT became engulfed in flames after it crashed into the rear of a CAT excavator parked in a construction zone in Racine County."There obviously is some sort of connection, but at this point, we don't know what that connection is," Schultz said. Racine County Sheriff Christopher Schmaling said one person died in the 9:20 a.m. crash. He said a witness reported that a tire came off the vehicle as it traveled southbound on the interstate. The body in the car was badly burned and remained unidentified Saturday afternoon."We have a pretty good idea of who we believe it is, it's just not proper to speculate without positive identification," Schultz said.
