2021 10/11 – Craig Steven Sprehe

Craig Steven Sprehe, 55, of Woodlawn, Illinois passed away October 6, 2021, at the University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville, KY with his loving wife and children beside him.

Born January 29, 1966, in Centralia, Illinois, he was the son of Norman Gustav and Martha Suzette “Suzie” (Shreve) Sprehe.

Craig was employed as a CVT Stock Prep truck tire builder at Continental Tire in Mt. Vernon. He was an excellent hunter, loved fishing, and enjoyed being outside. He was a wonderful, loving spouse, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He will be remembered by his love for others, his ability to make friends everywhere he went. His smile and laughter will console us through the upcoming days. Craig was met at the gates of heaven by his beautiful mother, Suzie Sprehe who passed away in 2005.

Craig is survived by his wife Angie Burroughs Sprehe with whom he sealed his wedding vows on June 30, 2018. He also leaves behind his father Norman who resides in Centralia. His children Taylor Tinsley and husband Miles, Levi Sprehe and significant other Amanda Taylor, Isaiah Sprehe, and Addison Sue Sprehe all of Woodlawn, IL. Three beautiful grandchildren Gabriel Sprehe, Rucker Tinsley, and Azrael Sprehe. Also a brother Brad Sprehe and wife Jill of Tampa, FL, and his mother and father-in-law, Bobby and Arnelle Burroughs of Salem, IL.

Funeral services for Craig Steven Sprehe will be held on Monday, October 11, 2021, at 1:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia with Pastor Miguel Torniere officiating. Burial will follow at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Hoyleton. Visiting hours will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday, October 10, 2021, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia and from 12:00 pm until the service hour on Monday.
