Dinsdale car dealerships to change owners
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Car dealerships in both Hastings and Grand Island will reportedly be taken over by new owners.
In a Facebook post dated April 9, the Hastings Automotive Group reported that they were acquiring the Tom Dinsdale Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership.
“We have been able to expand our business and purchase the Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership in Hastings,” said owner Scott Sterling on Facebook.
Hastings Automotive group is owned by Sterling and his wife Susan and also operates Hastings Ford, Quick Lane Tire and Auto Center and HFX Honda Powersports.
On Monday, the Grand Island Independent reported that a North Dakota group had reached an agreement to buy Tom Dinsdale Chevrolet Cadillac GMC. Rydell Automotive Group is based in Grand Forks, N.D.
Local4 contacted the Dinsdale dealership in Grand Island Tuesday morning and was told by an associate that Tom Dinsdale was not available for comment.
Local4 has also contacted the Rydell Automotive Group in Grand Forks and we are waiting to hear back.
A former employee filed a lawsuit against Dinsdale Automotive Inc., last year alleging violations of the Nebraska Fair Employment Practice Act. That lawsuit is pending in Adams County District Court.
