A well-known automotive tire store will open in early May in Sartell's River Crossing development.

Construction began last summer for Les Schwab Tire Center, at 32759 River Oaks Lane, which serves customers seeking not just tires, but also brake services, alignment, shocks, oil changes, snow chains, custom wheels and batteries for cars.

New Watertown Les Schwab Tire Center serves both semis and cars.

The facility will be 10,500 square feet with a full suite of retail services.

Les Schwab opened dozens of stores in multiple states across the Northern Plains and Upper Midwest last year and continues this year to ensure easier access to the company.

Store manager Tanner Martin — who comes to the area from Washington State — said he looks forward to bringing the Les Schwab's great service to the local community.

“Our customers rely on us for more than just tires—they trust us to deliver service the right way,” Martin said. “Les Schwab brings generations of hard work and dedication, and I’m committed to upholding those values here in Sartell. Giving back is at the heart of what we do, and I’m passionate about getting involved in the community—whether through our toy drives, local events or other programs that make a difference.”

To ensure safety on the road beyond tires, Les Schwab claims that every time they touch a customer’s tires, they also make certain to check the surrounding components to ensure everything is squared away and the vehicle is safe to be on the road.

Operating now in 15 states, with more than 570 shops, Les Schwab has been around for nearly 75 years, mainly in the western United States. They are headquartered in Bend, Oregon, and had $2.3 billion in retail sales in 2024.

The new location has begun recruiting to fill local positions. Les Schwab offers a competitive package of pay and benefits designed to reward their employees’ hard work. The company notes that for decades employees have shared in their success through profit sharing bonuses. They are also only promoting from within and currently have more than 8,500 employees.
