Police in Old Orchard Beach have released video which they claim shows two men suspected of throwing a large boulder and a traffic cone in the middle of Saco Avenue.
Officials said the incident happened shortly after 1 a.m. on Memorial Day and involved two "mystery rock throwers" whose alleged actions resulted in a driver hitting the boulder and damaging their car.
A person commenting on the police department's Facebook post on the incident claims to be the mother of the driver and says her daughter's car was "significantly" damaged. A second driver claims to have gotten a flat tire from debris in the road after they say they drove through the area around the same time.
Police are releasing the video in hopes of learning more from witnesses and are also encouraging the suspects to turn themselves in.
