HiQ Tyres & Autocare opens new centre providing tyre repairs and MOT services in Thatcham

A national tyre and MOT provider has opened a new centre in Thatcham.

HiQ Tyres & Autocare, located on the Bath Road where Wiltshire Tyres used to be, is now open and providing automotive care to drivers in West Berkshire.

As a franchise, HiQ Tyres & Autocare Thatcham is independently owned and run as a family-run business with more than 40 years of experience in the tyre industry under local businessman Carl Evans.

Mr Evans said: “It’s a new challenge for us as a family business. All of us are in this together. We want it to run like a well-oiled machine.

“We want to provide a premium experience for our customers, offering them a welcoming environment with thoughtful touches like Wi-Fi, a coffee machine and a dedicated workstation where they can stay comfortable while they wait.”

The garage currently employs a team of five people and offers a range of services including tyre fitting and repairs, MOTs, vehicle servicing and wheel alignment.

The facility also accommodates light commercial vehicles and plans to support local business fleet work in the near future.

Mr Evans added: “Working under the HiQ name gives us access to a well-established, national brand that appeals to a wide customer base.

“That means we can offer trusted, main dealer-quality autocare services to local drivers.”
