COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The South Carolina women’s basketball team will be heading to Louisville for the third season of the SEC/ACC basketball challenge.

The two teams will face off on December 4. The time and channel have yet to be determined.

This is the Gamecocks third appearance in the challenge after beating UNC Chapel Hill in 2023 and Duke in 2024.

The entire SEC conference won the challenge in 2024, 10-6, and both conferences tied in the inaugural season, 7-7.

The Gamecocks are 18-4 all time against the Louisville Cardinals and are 2-0 against them since Dawn Staley became the head coach. In their most recent matchup, South Carolina beat Louisville 72-59 in the 2022 Final Four to head to their second national championship.
