In Poltava, in the Levada neighborhood, an accident occurred when a Tesla with Kharkiv license plates crashed into several cars parked in a paid parking lot. As a result of the incident, several passengers were injured, and a total of seven vehicles were damaged.
One of the owners of a damaged car, Lina, shared details about the events. According to her, there were five people in the Tesla who had spent the night at a restaurant where they consumed alcohol.
“I received a call from the parking lot at 4 a.m. saying there had been an accident and our car was damaged. When I arrived at the lot, I saw two drunk people – a girl and a boy – along with the police and an ambulance. According to them, there were five of them. They all refuse to give statements to both the police and us.”
Lina noted that the car entered the parking lot at high speed during curfew, crashing through the fence and hitting the rear of her Mazda.
“They still won’t say who was driving. They claim it was on autopilot.”
Two people from the group in the car were taken to the hospital, while the others remained at the scene. Lina also reported that the owner of the restaurant where the group had been refused to provide video footage.
“I spoke with the owner and asked her to provide video and photo evidence of the people leaving their establishment. We went there; there are tire protectors from the car and another damaged vehicle nearby. I understand that it’s unlikely anyone will compensate me for the damage. And the car is gone.”
According to information provided by the Poltava police, five people in the Tesla were injured in the accident, three of whom were hospitalized.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the car left the roadway, entered the parking lot, and damaged seven parked vehicles.
