Kenworth parade celebrates legacy of W900 model in Chillicothe
Kenworth’s Chillicothe, Ohio truck assembly plant hosted its fourth annual truck parade on June 19, drawing more than 50 new, classic, and customized Kenworth trucks from across the U.S. This year’s event celebrated the iconic W900 model, now in its final full year of production.
The parade, held in downtown Chillicothe, featured trucks from every era of Kenworth’s history — from a 1923 model to present-day vehicles built at the Chillicothe plant, according to a news release. The event closed with the newly introduced W900 Legacy Edition, a tribute to the company’s storied past.

“The Kenworth truck parade has become a special Ross County community tradition,” said Jack Schmitt, assistant plant manager at Kenworth Chillicothe. “The event wouldn’t be possible without the drivers who travel to Chillicothe to share their passion for Kenworth trucks, or without the community support that makes this parade a successful event each year.”
In support of the local community, Kenworth and the United Way of Ross County raised more than $43,000 through a 50/50 raffle and VIP sponsorships during the parade.
KAG Canada joins Habitat for Humanity build in Winnipeg
KAG Canada employees took part in a Habitat for Humanity Manitoba team build last week, contributing to what the organization says is its largest development in its 35-year history.
The build, located on Pandora Avenue in Winnipeg, is set to include 55 energy-efficient homes arranged in 11 blocks of five townhouses. Once completed, the development will provide housing for about 275 people, including 175 children, according to a LinkedIn post.

The project was coordinated internally by the Kenan Advantage Group’s North American Giving Committee. According to the company, several terminal locations across Canada and the U.S. have participated in similar Habitat for Humanity builds as part of their broader corporate social responsibility efforts.
Motiv Electric Trucks names Zion chief product and engineering officer
Motiv Electric Trucks has appointed Scott Zion as its new chief product and engineering officer, the company announced June 18. Zion will lead the company’s product roadmap and oversee vehicle design, validation, and testing to ensure Motiv’s electric trucks and buses meet performance, quality, and customer requirements.
Zion brings more than 30 years of experience in vehicle engineering and electric vehicle development, Motive said in a news release. Most recently, he served as chief product officer at Bollinger Motors, where he led the product strategy for electric commercial vehicles. He previously held senior roles at Xos Trucks, including head of engineering and director of medium-duty vehicles.
Zion also spent over six years with Hino Motors Manufacturing USA as general manager and chief engineer of zero-emission vehicle programs. He began his career at Ford Motor Company in the early 1990s, working on electric vehicles and later holding positions at Visteon in transaxle, chassis, battery systems, and driveline engineering.
“Scott’s proven expertise in product planning and his experience leading engineering and product teams in the commercial electric trucking space is a perfect fit for where Motiv is today,” said Scott Griffith, CEO of Motiv Electric Trucks, in the release.

This is very good idea i would like to see at least 5 of the units or 10% set aside for people that are sick or injured. We need both private sector non profit groups and gov working together to make these things happen
