We entered the final stretch, and Oscar Piastri asked on the radio for a position swap. But the team gave him no response. Lewis Hamilton is now 24 seconds behind Nico Hulkenberg, and Sauber's dream of a podium finish is within reach.

Max Verstappen complains about the Red Bull, Lando Norris has already pitted and remains the race leader. Oscar struggled with the McLaren, which even went off the track, but the kangaroo boy regains control of the car.

Max Verstappen has been overtaken by both McLarens, first by Oscar and now by Lando Norris. When the rain started, Alex Albon stayed on the track, he has Max on the attack, the world champion has the second place, now by Oscar.

At the top of the field, Oscar Piastri is putting pressure on Max Verstappen, with a lead of 0.132 seconds. With DRS on, Oscar overtakes Max, while Lando Norris has Hamilton struggling. Gasly and Alonso are struggling internally.

Franco's apprenticeship at the Alpine
Franco Colapinto reflected on the poor start to qualifying and another difficult afternoon with Alpine.

Carlos Sainz will start ninth in the Williams after failing to make it into Q3. Kimi Antonelli finished tenth. Oliver Bearman dropped to 18th due to a penalty in free practice. Yuki Tsunoda moved up to eleventh.

Verstappen Case with Mercedes
Max Verstappen could leave Red Bull, Sky Sports reported. A few days ago, the outlet reported a possible departure of the world champion heading to Mercedes with Toto Wolf in 2026. George Russell still doesn't have a contract for next year; he could be free if Max is the new driver. Remember, there's supposedly a clause that allows Red Bull and the world champion to leave their current team if they don't have a competitive car to fight for the drivers' championship.
“I'm not talking about my contract. No decision has been made at the moment. For me, it's not about 2026 or anything like that. I'm just focused on what's coming next and the collaboration with the team. Of course, many people come with assumptions. And that's certainly not my doing. As I said last week, that's all I can say. I don't think anyone can say with complete certainty that they'll feel completely comfortable next year. In any case, there are so many unknowns for next year. The only thing I can do is drive as fast as possible with what I have.”
Drivers with the most wins at Silverstone
Lewis Hamilton has won nine times, making him the driver with the most wins in the United Kingdom. He is followed on the list by Jim Clark and Alain Prost with five, and Nigel Mansell with four. Michael Schumacher, Niki Lauda, and Jack Braham have three. Fernando Alonso, Sebastian Vettel, Alberto Ascari, Jose Froilan Gonzalez, Jackie Stewart, and Emerson Fittpaldi have two wins. Drivers with Ayrton Senna, Kimi Raikkonen, Nico Rosberg, Carlos Sainz, and Max Verstappen have only one win.
Lewis Hamilton on home soil
