HOUSTON, Texas (KWTX) - An officer in Houston fired his weapon at a suspect vehicle that nearly hit him, leading to a police chase, according to the Houston Police Department.

On April 10, at around 11:50 p.m., police say officers were searching for a vehicle stolen in an aggravated robbery minutes earlier and found the vehicle in the 6200 block of Lyons Avenue.
As officers attempted to perform a traffic stop, police say the driver of the suspect vehicle, Hernandez, started driving towards officers and their patrol cars.
Officer Martin, according to police, was in the path of the suspect vehicle with nowhere to move, prompting him fire his weapon at the vehicle.
The officer did not hit the suspects, and the suspect vehicle narrowly missed hitting the officer as it fled the scene, police say.
Officers started a pursuit until the suspect vehicle came to a stop in the 7600 block of Wallisville Road due to tire damage, police say.
All three suspects in the vehicle were arrested and charged in the incident.
Police say no injuries were reported from the incident.
Three guns were recovered by police, with one being inside the suspect vehicle and two others being thrown from the vehicle during the pursuit, according to police.
